Why we do it:

When you spend a dollar, you are supporting the values of the company that got your dollar. We make it easier for you to know what values you are supporting. You can use this information to reward companies that do good things and to withhold your money from companies whose values you don't support.

Ultimately, corporations follow supply and demand laws. If we demand more of a certain value, corporations will change their behavior to supply more of that value.

How we do it:

We gather publicly available information on companies and group it by issues, based on the effects on Customers, Employees, Society and the Environment, Competitors, and Investors. Once you identify your values, then pick any product and the companies that sell that product will be graded in the 5 categories according to your values.

Note that VoteMyWallet.com is neutral about values. For example, you can use VoteMyWallet.com to support companies that support unions, or to support companies that oppose unions. It's up to you.

VoteMyWallet.com is a non-profit organization not funded by any company we report on.

Coming soon:

This website is brand new. Soon, we will add features such as a quiz to determine your values and adjust the scorecards appropriately, a form so you can submit your own reports on companies, and a printable shopping list.
